Florida Man Flies Drone Into Fireworks Show

WEST PALM BEACH, FL (WGGB) –
Drones have become a popular way to capture video in recent months, and a new viral video is putting a patriotic spin on the fad.
Jos Stiglingh captured the above footage of a fireworks show in West Palm Beach, Florida back in May. That video has since gone viral thanks to the 4th of July holiday.

Spelunking in Corvette Cavern

On Wednesday 2.12.2014, a 40-foot-wide, 30-foot-deep sinkhole opened up at the National Corvette Museum in Kentucky. Eight Corvettes fell into the hole. To explore the pit, the University of Western Kentucky’s engineering department wisely sent in a drone instead of a human. Read more

Wasn't a Police Drone Patrolling Miami Beach

Blogs like Gizmodo erupted this weekend when a YouTube video surfaced showing a hovering, flashing drone flying above the crowds at last month’s Memorial Day weekend in South Beach. The video was all the more eyebrow-raising because the Miami-Dade Police Department actually has a drone and is one of only a few of forces in the nation with FAA clearance to fly a UAV.

Only one problem with all those stories, though: That wasn’t MDPD’s drone flying over South Beach.

Quadcopter drone group held in London airport on suspicion of terrorism

Not an unsurprising reaction from customs officers in this an Olympic and Diamond Jubilee year in London.
