Florida Man Flies Drone Into Fireworks Show

Jos Stiglingh captured the above footage of a fireworks show in West Palm Beach, Florida back in May. That video has since gone viral thanks to the 4th of July holiday.

Aerial - Potassium mine in Menteroda, Thueringen, Germany

More than a hundred years, the potassium salt fertilizer production in the “Nordthüringer” basin existed. As a result, huge saline tailings, on the one shaped the landscape and on the other polluted the surrounding rivers damaging to the environment emerged. In 1991 came the end for the 1,600 employees of the potassium salt mine and it was time to deal with the contamination and waste. Read more

Blogs like Gizmodo erupted this weekend when a YouTube video surfaced showing a hovering, flashing drone flying above the crowds at last month’s Memorial Day weekend in South Beach. The video was all the more eyebrow-raising because the Miami-Dade Police Department actually has a drone and is one of only a few of forces in the nation with FAA clearance to fly a UAV.

Only one problem with all those stories, though: That wasn’t MDPD’s drone flying over South Beach.
