Diana Nyad Arrives in Key West After 111 Mile Swim From Cuba
Finally She made it !
Diana Nyad has arrived in Key West after her 53hrs swimming from Cuba. Miami Aerial is proud to have contributed a few aerial sequences to the documentary about her journey to become the first person crossing the Florida strait without a shark cage.
The aerial video sequences were probably the first one made during summer 2012 with an Quadrocopter flying in Cuba.
Nyad said:
“It’s all authentic. It’s a great story. You have a dream 35 years ago — doesn’t come to fruition, but you move on with life. But it’s somewhere back there. Then you turn 60, and your mom just dies, and you’re looking for something. And the dream comes waking out of your imagination,”.

At the edge of The Devil’s Triangle, tropical storms, sharks, venomous jellyfish, and one of the strongest ocean currents in the world, all prove to be life-threatening realities. Timothy Wheeler’s documentary brings Diana Nyad’s extraordinary adventure to life as Diana sets out to prove that will and determination are all you need to make the unimaginable possible.
